A career in Dentistry was an easy choice for Dr. Mack. Natural artistic ability, an affinity towards science and a detail oriented personality were all a perfect fit for his life long passion. His path in dentistry began at the University of Michigan where he worked in his own dental laboratory creating restorations for his dental professors. After dental school, he served as a dentist in the United States Navy finally settling in private practice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. To this day, he remains heavily involved in fabrication and design process in his private in-office laboratory.
As a forerunner in the field of aesthetic-restorative dentistry, his contributions to the dental literature have helped to establish new paradigms in dental treatment optimizing facial beauty. His creative concepts using facial analyses in treatment planning and proprietary treatment protocols have been presented to colleagues in local and state meetings as well as national societies and academies. He is a member of SCAD (the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry).
Dr. Mack has been intimately involved in the field of TMD/Orofacial Pain since its inception in the field of dentistry. Scientific developments have advanced the field to its current state, which recognizes the diverse and complex nature of these disorders. Membership to the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and Board Certification from the American Board of Orofacial Pain addresses his competency and commitment in this arena.
